Chatham Sound has many fjords and rivers that run into Rupert waters. The Skeena and the Nass are two of the largest and most productive salmon waters in North America and both of these run into Chatham Sound. Besides these two,there are many smaller rivers and creeks that support the salmon production. Years ago, there were over 100 canneries in the area and some of the largest salmon were caught in these waters.
Prince Rupert, BC is surrounded by a ring of islands from the south and west. They offer good protection from the ocean. It is around these islands that we fish and in them that we find secure anchorage for our overnight stays.
